Raspberry Island, New Dinghy & Are We Gonna Tip Over?

This week we get back to sailing (our second time on Saros). Our plans or to head to Michigan Island, but the wind change, changed our plans, so Raspberry Island became our destination. We also tested out our new dinghy – Sam Bell. Having a dinghy is an essential for visiting the islands in the Apostles and our inflatable, Brine dinghy is want we’ve decided to try – so far so good!

After a beautiful couple of days in the islands, we had to head home. Although we didn’t have any wind at first, it ended up being that we had enough wind to cause some heeling – stressful heeling for this newbie 🙂 But I made it through and we also successfully tested our docking procedure.

We hope you enjoy the episode, and if you have any tips, recommendations or just an observation, please leave us a comment!

P.S. We love space and the moon is a fav of mine..hence our boat ‘Saros’ and our dinghy ‘Sam Bell’ 😉

Products Mentioned*:

  • Brine Dinghy
  • Motor – (we have the 2020 version, this is the 2021 model, but should be the same. External fuel tank, 15″ short shaft)
